My awesome Kroger trip!!

Yesterday I hit the JACKPOT at Kroger!

i went in planning to spend no more than $60 dollars... and I left spending $54.76. Not too shabby!!

BUT--the best part is that I had planned to buy the usual items (2 hamburger meats, 1 bag of chicken, 3 cans of veggies, brauts, bread-2loafs, milk, eggs, yogurt, tortilla chips, fruit) Doesn't sound like much especially since I planned on spending $60 bucks but you guys know how EXPENSIVE the stores are these days.

Well... I ran across a sale on chicken breats. The frozen Kroger bags. They were on sale for $5.01. (Random number I thought). And I hit the JACKPOT on Kroger hamburger meat in the rolls. They are $2.99 but they had a bunch marked down to $1.49 because they expire on Friday. I flagged down the butcher and he told me as long as I froze them, I could keep them for literally a year. WOW! So I bought 10 of them. Then I had a coupon that Kroger mailed me in a little booklet thing a while back. There was a coupon in there for $5.00 off if you spend $15 dollars in the meat department. TADA!!!! So I spent $14.91 on meat that will last us if not for the WHOLE month, for at least 3 weeks.

I was super pumped.

I don't have time to run into the store EVERY single day, but its worth a stop in at least twice a week just to see if you can run upon those deals anymore!!

What about you? Any good deals for you this week?

Friday savings at Kroger and Wal-Mart

I wish I had my camera with me but I don't so you will have to take my word for it :)

I decided this morning it was time to get "My book" back in order. I ran across several coupons that were getting ready to expire and I had some extra time this morning so I sat out on a mission. I wanted to get as much as I could for less than $10.

First stop: WALMART

2-Nexcare 30 pk bandaids $1.00 each
1-Nexcare Scooby bandaids $1.86
2-Aquafresh Extreme clean trial size toothpaste $.97 each
1-Chapstick brand chapstick $.97
1-UP2U gum $1.29
2-Frosted Mini Wheats touch of fruit $3.50 each

I paid out of pocket: $6.49

I used:
3-$1.00 off Nexcare product coupons (printed from their website about a month ago)
1-B1G1 free Touch of Fruit coupons
1-.97 off ANY size Aquafresh coupon (printed from their website)
1-.50 off a trial size Aquafresh coupon
1-1.00 off UP2U by mentos gum pack

BIG SAVINGS!

NEXT STOP KROGER!

I bought:

2-French's mustard (big size, not the small size. these are huge)-$1.49 each
1-Ronzoni pasta box -$1.00

The mustard was SUCH A steal. I went into the store to buy the bottles that are 12 oz I believe because they were on sale for $1.39. then they had a HUGE selection of markdowns on the BIG bottle. $1.49 for the big or $1.39 for the small...hmmm.... :) So I bought 2.

Coupons used:

2-.30 off any French's mustard product (they doubled, of course)
1-1.00 off any Ronzoni product

Total spent: $1.69

Overall I feel good about my purchases. We were out of bandaids and 3 boxes will last forever. And of course the Scooby ones were more expensive but it was worth .89 cents to see my daughter THRILLED! The mustard will last so long... but at that cheap of a price how could I NOT buy it? The pasta... well, that's just stinkin' awesome because we love our carbs at our house!!!

For the ladies

It's probably not every day that someone tells you that you can buy tampons really cheap... but i'm gonna break the mold and tell you anyway.

This week at KROGER Tampax and Always products are on sale for $2.99. BUT it gets better. Go to http://www.kroger.com/, set up your kroger card online, upload the coupons to your card like we talked about before and BE amazed!! There is a $2.00 off any tampax product coupon AND a $1.00 off Always pads. That means that you could buy a box of tampons for $2.99, subtract the $2.00 coupon, and WALAH :)

Okay so you probably are not super pumped...but here's the way I look at it. You are saving money, you are bargain hunting which is ALWAYS fun, AND nobody wants to waste money on tampons. You'd rather have that money for savings, or shoes or SOMETHING besides, well, tampons. So be happy. And go to kroger.

Way to go Kroger!

Okay I am pumped about this!! Kroger has now gotten super awesome. Instead of downloading software to your computer so you can print coupons you can NOW sign up at Kroger.com and register your kroger card to have coupons instantly added TO YOUR CARD! How cool is that??

You can pick the coupons you want to be sent to your card. So if you pick a $3.00 off Charmin coupon (which I personally was PUMPED about) it is automatically on your card. So if I go to kroger tonight and buy the toilet paper they scan my card and the coupon takes off the $3.00!

WAHOOO! :) No more printing and organizing trying to keep up with coupons and experation dates, etc... how nice? Kroger has saved me money AND simplified my life!
